Day 1: Arrive in North Cyprus
Day 2: Welcome meeting on North Cyprus Day at Leisure
Day 3: Ancient city of
Famagusta in North Cyprus and beyond. Enjoy the scenery as we cross over the Mountains and the Mesaria Plane. Then to the St. Barnabas Monastery which is an icon museum. See the ancient city of
Salamis which dates back to B.C and has the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Cyprus. Ext is Othello’s Tower where Shakespeare was inspired to write his famous place. On the St. Nicholas Cathedral which is now known as Lala Mustafa Mosque and was built in French Gothic style. There will be some free time within the old city for independent exploring and shopping. Lunch & all entrance fees included.
Day 4: Nicosia, the only divided capital city in Europe Start your day visiting the worlds only divided capital which in ancient times was known as Ledra. Have the chance to visit Selimiye Mosque which was once a Cathedral known as St. Sophia. Then move onto the Mevlevi Musuem dating back to Ottoman period, and then onto Buyuk Han. Which again dates back to the Ottoman times, and is now a closed market which sells local arts/ crafts and produce. There will also be a full tour of the Green Line which divides North & South Cyprus. Lunch will be included and will be in Nicosia Town Centre. All museum entrance fees are included.
Day 5: Crossing over the green-line Areas of visits include: Antique Amathus Kingdom, Limassol Town Centre & harbour (some free time will be given during the trip for independent exploring).The castle ofLimassol and Cyprus Medieval Museum will be visited. Following on from this you will visit the Antique City Kingdom Kourirum & lastly Kolossi Castle. Lunch and entrance fees to museums are included.
Day 6: Kyrenia and surroundings Areas of visits include:
Kyrenia Harbour/Kyrenia Castle/Kyrenia Ship Wrek Museum/Visiting the beautiful village of Bellapais/Touring Bellapais Abbey/St. Hillarion Castle.
Lunch & all entrance fees included.
Day 7: Day at leisure
Day 8: Return back to the UK
